I hope everyone had a great Labor Day and enjoyed the unofficial end of summer. Temperatures are still in the 90s here, so summer hasn’t yet started to fade away.
Nick and I celebrated the holiday and long weekend by heading to northern Maryland, to camp at Susquehanna State Park, just north of the cutest little town called Havre de Grace.
On Saturday, we took a day trip up to Philadelphia, where we enjoyed the most delectable lunch in the cool and quiet garden of Wedge + Fig (Nick enjoyed a curry chicken salad, and I noshed on a blue cheese, fig and prosciutto sandwich).
We enjoyed the rest of the weekend relaxing at the campground, enjoying the warm weather and exploring the quaint Havre de Grace downtown.
*This magic leaf danced down from a tree above our campsite and then levitated a few inches off the ground, where it stayed for several hours. 🙂
Eating really good food was a theme during our weekend, and Nick and I both really enjoyed our tuna fish dishes at Laurrapin Grille, which is a favorite local neighborhood restaurant in Havre de Grace, which sits along the lower Susquehanna River and empties into the head of Chesapeake Bay (seafood dishes were readily available on the menu).
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
