I hope everyone had a great weekend! We spent ours relaxing, biking and catching up around the house. The highlight of our weekend was an amazing lunch prepared by our friends Emily and Seth and enjoyed with their adorable little boy Jonas!
The temperatures dropped to the low-70s over the weekend along with the official arrival of fall, which got us thinking about some fun fall activities to get into the spirit of the season. While it’s hard to say goodbye to summer (I know it just ended but I’m already feeling nostalgic for the hot, sunny weather and long days!) I am looking forward to the crisp fall air and layering on sweaters, enjoying my favorite fall activities and hearty foods, and the beginning of the holiday season!
I decided the best way to kick off the season was with a bucket list of fun fall activities!
Here is our official 2012 activity list:
- Attend a fall festival or Oktoberfest
- Carve a pumpkin and roast the seeds
- Go on a fall picnic
- Roast s’mores in the fireplace
- Bake pumpkin bread
- Go on a hike and enjoy nature
- Try a new hearty soup or fall recipe
- Drink spiked apple cider
- Go camping
- Run the Turkey Trot 5/10-mile
- Drink a pumpkin beer
- Create a fall mantel
I’m really excited to tackle the list and am looking forward to all the fun Nick and I will have this fall. Anyone else have some fun seasonal activities planned?
